Double gauze fabric is a lightweight double woven cotton fabric that is soft, breathable and absorbent, perfect for Summer and baby items.

This fabric has 2 layers of fine open weave cotton gauze which are held together by tiny stitches. It has a natural wrinkled texture (similar to cheesecloth) that gives it a distinctive look (so there is no need to try to iron out the wrinkles).

Recommendation when sewing with double gauze: Wash it before you use it at 30/40 degrees, because it shrinks Use universal 70/80 needles Overlock the seams, use French seam technique or zig zag the edges, as it tends to fray It can be iron on medium heat, but keep in mind that the crinkly look is a characteristic of this kind of fabric
