Pumpkin Pottery Class
Have you always fancied trying your hand at pottery? Wouldn't this be a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon?
Make a cute pumpkin tea light holder which you can use to decorate your home for Halloween.
This three hour class is taught by Mairead Latimer of Mudlarks Pottery, during which you will be shown how to make a thumb pot.
You will then combine two thumb pots to create your pumpkin . Carving of the pumpkin and addition of a stalk completes the design.
You will colour these with slip - a coloured clay - and Mairead will take them back to her studio where they will be fired twice in the Potter's kiln.
Once completed they will be returned to The Crafty Rock for collection.
Price includes materials, ceramic firings and refreshments.
