St Brigid is the patron saint of healers and midwives. The tradition of weaving a cross from rushes on February 1st, traditionally a pagan festival to celebrate the coming of Spring continues to this day. The cross is traditionally hung over doors or windows to protect the home and its occupants from any type of harm.
Handmade in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland
The frame measures 12.4cm x 12.4cm and comes in either black or white.
