Viking Rune Script Slates from Inspired by Gaia

These handcrafted Viking Slates from Joanna of Inspired by Gaia together with the powerful legacy of our Viking past, are truly one-of-a-kind pieces. Each slate is carefully collected by Joanna herself from the rugged Irish coastline, connecting every piece to the land and sea that shaped our heritage.

Drawing on the ancient Viking Rune script, Joanna hand-engraves symbols representing meaningful attributes such as wealth, love, home protection, and business growth. Each message is then painted and gold-plated by hand, highlighting the craftsmanship and care that goes into every slate. To finish, the slate is drilled and fitted with a natural cord, ready for hanging.

These slates are a beautiful nod to the Viking settlements that once shaped this area of County Louth – particularly around Annagassan, just a few miles from our shop in Blackrock.
