In Celtic mythology, the stag was seen as a powerful and regal creature, often associated with the god Cernunnos, who was the god of the forest and the hunt.
Stag, Fia Beannach (antlered deer), in the Irish language, have wandered the countryside in Ireland throughout the ages, going back to the long extinct Irish elk or giant deer.
