Handcrafted wooden Chopping Boards

We are delighted to welcome Eoghan Treanor, an 18 year old local apprentice of woodworking to The Crafty Rock. Eoghan will soon be qualified and has a keen interest in bespoke homeware using unique species of hardwoods. He approached us about showcasing some of his amazing chopping boards and we were keen to support a local craftsperson beginning his career.

We have two chopping boards available: ET1 is a handmade end grain chopping board made of Oak, Ash and Rosewood. ET2 is a handmade end grain chopping board  made of Ash, Rosewood and Iroko.

Each board is meticulously handcrafted using traditional woodworking techniques, highlighting the natural beauty and unique grain patterns of these premium hardwoods. The combination of different wood types creates stunning visual contrast while ensuring durability and longevity in your kitchen.

 These boards aren't just functional kitchen tools—they're conversation pieces that bring warmth and artisanal character to your home. Each one represents Eoghan's dedication to his craft and passion for creating beautiful, practical items that will serve you for years to come.

Each board is finished with natural beeswax, which not only enhances the wood's natural luster but also provides a food-safe protective layer. To maintain your board's beauty, simply clean with a damp cloth after use and occasionally reapply beeswax to keep the wood nourished. Being end grain these chopping boards will last longer and keep knives sharper.
