
Carrickmacross Lace Making Course - Butterfly
Experience the traditional lace-making of Carrickmacross with this Course, taught by the renowned lace maker, Theresa Kelly. Learn the intricate methods of this centuries-old art form and help keep the tradition alive. Suitable for beginners and also those with some experience. During the course you will create a beautiful butterfly which can be framed.
The course covers traditional lace techniques such as applique, guipure, loops, Catherine wheel, open whip and pops.Date: Mondays March 31st, April 7th, 14th and 28th. (Break for Easter)
Time: 7 – 9.00pm
Venue: The Crafty Rock Shop
Cost is €100 for 8 hours tuition within a small group of participants. It includes a kit including all materials required. Refreshments included.
Booking is essential either by prepaying for the course online or by paying a deposit of €30 in the shop and the balance on the commencement of the course.
Please note deposits are non-refundable unless a replacement is found.
A minimum number of 5 participants is required for the course to proceed.
